Manager, People and Culture

Job Description

Prolytix, a leader in the development of large molecule therapeutics, is seeking a dynamic and energetic Manager, People and Culture that focuses on human resources for our rapidly growing business based in Essex Junction, VT as well as our remote team members. This position reports to the Chief Financial and People Officer.

The Manager, People and Culture responsibilities encompass recruiting, training, compensation, employee relations, policy design, talent management, and performance management.  You will partner with the Executive Leadership team to execute company strategy, contribute to business decisions and translate these strategies into people and culture priorities while ensuring our sites follow applicable local and federal laws.


  • Lead the recruitment efforts for open positions, facilitate interviews, offers and partner with hiring managers on the onboarding process
  • Develop and implement a solid framework of HR policies and procedures for our teams
  • Support managers and teams in career path discussions with clear job descriptions, pay band ranges and development pathway resources
  • Implement and facilitate an effective performance management system
  • Identify technical and organizational training needs of individual contributors, supervisors and managers and provide training resources
  • Facilitate and guide appreciative inquiry teams, internships/outreach efforts with the local community and DEI initiatives
  • Provide guidance and counsel to team members
  • Conduct annual salary surveys, analyze compensation, and recommend changes needed
  • Partner with the Executive Team and cross-functional teams such as Finance and business unit heads on employee communications, process improvement initiatives, company benefit selection and administration


  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other business discipline is required
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience required
  • Broad range of experience including employee relations, procedures and practices, company benefit programs, Human Resources administration systems, salary administration, recruitment techniques, EEO and Affirmative Action Planning, transferring and relocation procedures, etc
  • Proven interpersonal skills are required with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Organizational Development and Design and Change Management is highly preferred
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM certifications is a plus
